Overview
'온화'는 집이라는 공간의 따스한 온기를 구현한 설치예술 작품이다.
집은 바닥과 벽, 창문과 지붕을 통해 차가운 외부와의 물리적 경계를
구축하고 내부의 온기를 유지하게 하는 매개체이다. 인간은 집을 지을 때
본능적으로 바닥을 두어 찬 기운과 습기를 막고, 벽을 세워 바람이 들지 않게
하였으며, 지붕을 이어 뜨거운 햇볕과 차가운 비바람을 막았다. 이렇게
외부와의 경계를 이룬 집 안에서 사람들은 불을 피워 따스한 온기를
퍼트렸고, 밖으로 새어나간 온기들은 서로 어우러져 마을을 만들고 공동체를 이루었다.
<Gentle Light> is an installation art piece that embodies the warmth of a space called a house.
A house is a medium that builds a physical boundary with the cold outside through the floor,
walls, windows, and roof, and maintains the warmth inside. When building a house, humans
instinctively laid a floor to block the cold air and moisture, built a wall to block the wind, and
connected the roof to block the hot sunlight and cold wind and rain. Inside the house that
formed this boundary with the outside, people lit a fire to spread the warmth, and the warmth
that leaked out mixed with each other to create a village and a community.
