<온화>는 집이라는 공간의 따뜻한 온기를 구현한 라이팅 인스톨레이션 미디어 아트이다. 집은 바닥, 벽, 창문, 지붕을 통해 차가운 외부와의 물리적 경계로 구축하고 온기를 유지하는 매개체이다. 인간은 본능적으로 집을 지을 때 바닥으로 찬기와 물을 막고, 벽을 세워 바람이 들지 않게 하였으며 지붕을 지어 뜨거운 햇볕과 차가운 눈, 비를 막았다. 외부와의 경계를 이룬 집 안에서 사람들은 불을 피워 집 안에 온기를 퍼트렸고, 온기는 밖으로 새어나가 외부로 뻗어 나갔으며 이런 온기와 온기는 서로 이어져 마을을 세우고 공동체를 이루었다. 온기를 내는 1,500여 개의 LED 불빛은 전통 창호 모형을 통해 보호받고 있으며 이들이 뿜어내는 온기는 집과 집 사이 퍼져가는 정처럼 작품을 마주하는 사람들에게 따스한 감정과 기억을 불러일으킬 수 있기를 바란다.

<Ember> is a lighting installation media art that embodies the warmth of a space called a house. A house is a medium that maintains warmth by constructing a physical boundary with the cold outside through the floor, walls, windows, and roof. When humans instinctively build a house, they block cold air and water with the floor, build walls to prevent wind, and build a roof to block hot sunlight, cold snow, and rain. Inside the house, which forms a boundary with the outside, people light fires to spread warmth inside the house, and the warmth leaks out and spreads out, and this warmth and warmth are connected to each other to build a village and a community. The 1,500 LED lights that emit warmth are protected by a traditional window model, and the warmth they emit is hoped to evoke warm emotions and memories in those who encounter the work, like the affection that spreads between houses.
