<해무>는 수평선까지 이어지는 안개와 바다 위에 홀로 서 있는 등대를 재현한 미디어아트(Media Art) 작품이다. 경계가 흐려지는 망망대해 위 등대는 유일한 이정표가 되어 주위를 비춘다. 해무는 순환하는 수직적 공간들 중 가운데 위치하고 있다. 하늘과 표면이 닿아 있는 수평선의 공간이며 두 가지의 속성이 만나 이어지는 공간의 성격을 가지고 있다. 이를 잘 표현해 줄 수 있는 물성으로 안개를 사용해 경계가 사라지는 경험을 보여 준다. 

 <해무>는 물안개 자욱한 망망대해 위, 흐릿해지는 수평선을 마주하는 경험에서 시작한다. 저 멀리 펼쳐진 바다의 끝이 사라지는 장면은 사람에게 몽환적인 분위기와 오묘한 두려움을 동시에 느끼게 한다. 경계가 사라진 공간 속에서 감각으로 자신의 위치를 가늠할 수 없기 때문이다. 그래서 우리는 모호한 공간 속 이정표가 되어주는 등대를 만들었다. 날씨가 바뀌고 비바람이 몰아쳐 고난과 역경을 만들어 내기도 하고 날이 맑게 개어 따스한 환희의 순간을 얻게 되기도 한다. 하지만 변화하는 세상 속 묵묵히 자리를 지키고 있는 등대는 삶의 방향성을 잃은 사람들의 이정표가 되어있다.

 <Horizon> is a media artwork that reproduces the fog extending to the horizon and a lighthouse standing alone on the sea. The lighthouse above the open sea, where the boundaries are blurred, becomes the only milestone and illuminates the surroundings.

 Sea fog is in the middle of the circulating vertical space. It is a horizontal line where the sky and sea level meet, and it has the character of a space where two attributes meet and connect. Fog is a material that can express the above properties well, and it shows the experience of disappearing boundaries through fog.

 <Horizon> presents the experience of facing a blurring horizon above the open sea covered with fog. The disappearance of the boundary of the distant sea gives viewers a dreamy and mysterious feeling of fear at the same time. This is because it is impossible to determine one’s position in a space where boundaries have disappeared. At this moment, a lighthouse appears as a guidepost in an ambiguous space. As the weather changes and rain and wind blow, hardships and adversity are created, and the day clears up and experiences warm moments of joy. However, the lighthouse, which remains silent in the changing world, serves as a guidepost for visitors who lose their place.
