 <윤슬>은 물과 빛에서 영감을 받은 라이팅 인스톨레이션 작업으로, 햇빛이나 달빛에 비치어 반짝이는 잔물결을 나타내는 순우리말이다. 이번 전시에서 사일로랩(SILO Lab)은 자연 속 윤슬을 미디어 아트로 풀어냈다. 일렁이는 물과 그 위에 펼쳐진 윤슬로 가득 찬 공간은 서서히 색이 변하면서 관람자로 하여금 공감각적 경험을 가능하게 한다. 물과 빛이 만들어내는 패턴을 알고리즘 화하여 입힌 애니메이션은 자연의 형태학적인 아름다움을 기술로 구현해 내며 자연과 본질에 대해 재고한다. 공간의 순환적인 색 변화는 아침의 물안개, 화창한 낮, 저녁노을, 밤의 호숫가를 떠올리게 하며 빛의 여러 모습을 선보인다.
 하염없이 <윤슬>을 바라보며 느끼는 여러 감정은 풍경을 보며 사색에 잠길 때를 떠올리게 한다. 이는 개인이 가지고 있는 여러 감정과 기억을 상기시킴과 동시에 잠시 동안 쉼을 가져다준다. 작품의 온전한 몰입은 매체와 기술이 주는 딱딱함에서 벗어나 관람객을 공감과 소통으로 이끈다. 이러한 맥락에서 <윤슬>은 멀게만 느껴지던 디지털 미디어가 자연을 우리 곁으로 가져와 일상에 지친 현대인들에게 건네는 안식과 위로이다.

<Sparkling Ripples> is a lighting installation inspired by water and light, and is a pure Korean word that refers to ripples that sparkle in sunlight or moonlight. In this exhibition, SILO Lab interpreted the nature of ripples as media art. The space filled with rippling water and ripples spread out on it gradually changes color, allowing viewers to have a synesthetic experience. The animation that algorithmically applies the patterns created by water and light implements the morphological beauty of nature with technology and reconsiders nature and its essence. The cyclical color changes in the space bring to mind morning fog, a sunny day, an evening glow, and a lakeside at night, and present various forms of light. The various emotions felt when looking at <Sparkling Ripples> endlessly remind us of the times when we are lost in thought while looking at a landscape. It reminds us of various emotions and memories that individuals have, while also providing a moment of rest. The complete immersion of the work leads the audience to empathy and communication, breaking away from the rigidity of the medium and technology. In this context, <Sparkling Ripples> is a comfort and consolation that digital media, which used to feel distant, brings nature to us and gives to modern people who are tired of their daily lives.
